Johnny Cash is Number Fucking 10!

I was serenaded in the cab this morning on my way to English camp. Apparently the driver really likes soul and santana, but hates country western music. He's got sunshine on a cloudy day and tells children, after they give him directions, to go fuck off and suck his dick. It was an odd experience to say the least. Almost surreal. I only wish someone else had been there to attest to the craziness.

Bored

For some reason some of the cable channels got switched around/added. I lost one that had American shows and gained a couple "Fox" channels. And I can't figure out why they stopped airing the Simpsons . Recently there was Mudfest resulting in the spread of the swine flu. Because a bunch of foreigners wanted to crawl around in the mud half naked with a bunch of Koreans I have to work extra English camps. I also heard some sort of rash was also spread. I shouldn't complain though. It's only 4 hours each day and it gets me out of the house.

I've felt incredibly restless lately, as though my mind has gone into slush mode.

My mind was just blown- Montell Williams *on* the Oprah Winfrey show. A talk show host interviewing another less popular, less respected talk show host. Maybe that's a little harsh, although I don't think Oprah ever had any "Is it a Man or Woman" episodes. Perhaps I'm thinking of Maury.

It's really hard being a non-drinker in Korea. Or at least, I've found it to be that way. Even at the teacher welcome dinner I had to take at least 3 shots because they were given from the principal, vice principal, and head teacher. Everyone drinks. It blows.

I really really miss Jimmy John Sandwiches and Chipotle Burritos. As soon as I step foot in the States I'm going to get me some sweet sweet Chipotle. It may make me a sad sack for missing food so much, but I can't help it. It permeates my thoughts.

A Trashcan Ball of Poop

I'm watching Surf's Up right this very moment, and I can't lie...it's not bad. It's like a faux documentary starring, not only my favorite animal (penguins), but also LaBeouf, Diedrich Bader, Deschanel, Bridges...it's a knockout. Right now he's stuck in the rocks trying to grab ahold with his little wings. What I wouldn't do for a tiny little penguin baby.

Today I got to watch a talent show. It was only ten teams from the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade and frankly....I was not impressed. Does that make me a terrible person? Most of the groups danced to popular music and a few sang. One played the piano and the real lowpoint was two girls playing the recorder. I guess the killer was that none of them had enough confidence to give a good performance. One of my favorite 5th graders, San, sang a song but his partner was less than entertaining. Plus they just stood there like lumps. It was weird watching the girls dance because some of the moves were, dare I say, somewhat sexual in nature, but they're only 12 or 13 so it didn't really come across well. On top of which, they all looked at the floor the entire time. My co-teacher talked it up a little beforehand by telling me that a lot of students these days want to be stars so they like to dance and stuff which made me think I was about to see some StarSearch type show...but no. Afterwards my co-teacher even said it wasn't very good. Then again, I wasn't about to get up there and show them how it was done.

Keep yer lookin' balls on me and prepare to get your nuts smashed

I was completely blindsided by a cheese filled rice cake ball today. First of all, I have a hard time even calling it cheese. There's hardly any "real" cheese in this country. On the cheese scale it would fall a few steps below generic american singles. It's sweet and has this incredibly strange taste to it, almost like I'm eating something I should not be eating. Not to mention they don't even refrigerate it! That's right, there's just these cheese tubes sitting out in the stores for who knows how long. Anyway, I popped one of these rice cakes in my mouth and started to chow down when all of a sudden my mouth was filled with this horribleness that I can't even explain. I chewed as quickly as possible and tried not to vomit anything out. Needless to say I did not finish the rest.
