It's snowing again. Big flakes this time, but it will all be gone in a day or two. The snow never stays here and it's never more than a light dusting. I bought a nice new cardigan sweater this weekend because of the cold. It makes me feel fancy like Mr. Rogers. Also, I feel like it will make me look more grown up than a hoodie. I was denied access to a movie room because I didn't have my ID. Hence the makeover. Well, not really a makeover as much as a purchase of one cardigan. A cardigover...or something.
Speaking of Mr. Rogers, was anyone else scared pantsless whenever Lady Elaine Fairchilde made an entrance? Perhaps I have discussed this before, but let me give you a little refresher from your childhood.

BOOYA!! That face! That haircut! Was Mr. Rogers secretly a masochist who wanted to rule the dreamscapes of children's minds by setting that creature free in their subconscious?! First of all, I do not see the lady part of her ensemble. I thought she was a wicked clown carnie until I figured out "Elaine" was a female name. Why is the end of her nose so red? Is she an alcoholic? And in WHAT universe does that hairstyle signify anyone other than a child molester or simpleton! Good grief.
How proper that I had my first Lloyd Christmas moment last night, New Year's Eve. We went downtown to celebrate and got caught in the hoards on our way home. I knew how cold it was because I had been out earlier so I prepared myself.
Jacob: I can't believe how cold it is. My face is frozen.
Me: Oh! Do you want the second scarf I'm wearing?
Jacob: ......you're wearing TWO scarves?!?!!
Me: Of course. It's really cold out.
Goddamnit, Kari... another burst of LOL-ing, brought on by your blog.
ReplyDeleteI've never realized this before, but Lady Fairchild's nose is disturbingly phallic.
