On our way to our new apartment, just outside of Daegu we drove past a dog meat place. It was probably the saddest most heartbreaking thing I have ever witnessed. Of course we were stopped at a red light so we had to sit and listen to them barking and wailing. Just thinking about it now gives me a sad lumpy feeling in my chest. J and I have decided to try out vegetarianism. We already had cut out most meats from our everyday diet, but now we're gonna go full throttle. Especially after seeing those poor helpless dogs being abused I just can't justify it. Granted, I understand dog meat is an extreme case, but I keep hearing them and seeing them being jerked around and I can't even stand it so how are pigs or cattle or chicken any different. In the back of my mind I wonder if my Louis escaped that hellish fate and it makes me want to go and collect all the dogs and give them happy homes.
Our apartment on the other hand is preettty awesome. Once everything is cleaned up I will take pictures. Hopefully the job will follow suit and be equally kickass.
