A small girl raised her banana to me this evening at Homeplus. In return, I raised my fist. Then we both laughed. It was a shared moment.
So many of my high school peers have pushed out a baby or two in the last couple years. One put as her facebook status : My little boy is sooo naughty...when I say no he laughs at me and continues doing naughty things..and when I put him in his corner he thinks it's the most awesome place in the house...hes lucky he's cute lol. I'mtempted to write back, "Sounds like you're raising a terrible child." I've had just about enough of children. It's a good thing that Christmas vacation is coming up. It absolutely boils my blood when the kids show up with no book, no pencil, no notebook. I want to yell, "Why the hell are you even here?" Of course, their plan is to do nothing, and of course, they succeed. I gave all the phonics classes today a listening test to see if they have been learning the vocabulary words. Only 11 of them passed out of about 30-35 kids. I decided to open the floodgates and reward them with candy next week. US candy too, not the usual Korean brands. They sell chocolates like Snickers, Twix, and Kitkats at Homeplus. I feel like it will give me a little bit of pleasure to hand out candy to the students that passed and deny all the others.
Babies make me think of this song. I like the end when he's tossing it in the air.
Hahahaha... I so wish you would have posted that on facebook. People are so dumb. Especially when it comes to kids!
