Anyone want to have a cookie party with me? Totally unrelated to the Sarah Silverman thing. I was thinking just making a bunch of cookies and having people come over and hang out. I've really been enjoying baking. I made those peanut butter cookies with a Hershey Kiss plopped front and center. I have some oatmeal raisin's on deck, waiting their turn. Then I'm going to attempt to make those incredible sugar cookies with the frosting and sprinkles that are TO DIE FOR. Also the New York Times has the supposedly "best" chocolate chip cookie recipe ever, but...I'll be the judge. The way I incorporate all the baking into my attempt to not eat crap is that I allow myself one cookie from the batch and then bring the rest to work. BUT! If my cookie party idea goes through...even more delights can be made. While discussing would I/won't I cook up an Adventure Time party I was worried that I'd write a note in the store book and no one would come because the last time I worked there it happened all the time with one specific person. But then Michael reminded me that nobody liked her so there was nothing for me to worry about. It also gave me courage because if no one comes then it ain't no skin off my back. Since none of us have a freakin' regular schedule it was difficult to choose when to have it. But I think a pre-Christmas get together would be ok...unless it's too soon between the last work outing. Then again, this one is simply impromptu like, "Oh, hey, do you want to watch some cartoons?” And they’d be like, “Eh, what the heck.”I got up to put my freshly baked goods away and take a shower, but then I got sidetracked thinking about cookie parties...and watching Reno 911. I remember I'd always be late meeting my friends in high school because I'd get distracted by a random show on our non-cable tv (which makes me wonder what on earth could have captured my attention so raptly) and then I'd start eating a yogurt or something. Before I knew whats what my friends would be calling to ask of my whereabouts.
You could combine the cookie party and Adventure Time party. I feel like there is probably a lot overlap in the people that like those two things.
